The Case of the Missing Lottery Winner Strikes Again

A £1m lottery winner has just a few days left to come forward to claim their prize

Players of the EuroMillions are being urged to check their old tickets as the deadline looms. Looking for a missing £1m EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker winner.

Northeast lottery winners Kim and Ian McCarthy, from Darlington, became millionaires on Christmas Day 2012. They very graciously left a space for the mystery winner at a beachfront picnic on Whitley Bay beach.

People up and down the country are being urged to double-check their EuroMillions tickets from the draw on March 13, 2015, to see if it contains the all-important winning UK Millionaire Maker code – FPY442445 which would make them a lottery winner.

The deadline for the ticket-holder to claim their prize is on September 9, 2015.

Kim said: “It’s very exciting to think that someone out there is sitting on a life-changing amount of money.”

“I can still remember the moment we won, we couldn’t believe it, it was the best Christmas present anyone could have asked for.”

“To think that someone out there is about to go through the same experience is amazing.”

“There’s only a few days left to claim so I do hope they come forward.”

Every week EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker guarantees to create two UK millionaires. One on a Tuesday night and one on a Friday night.

For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a UK Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket.

As usual, if no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
