Lucky Numbers Keeps the Wins in the Family

A Dover woman wins lottery 10 years after her dad scooped jackpot with the SAME Lucky NUMBERS

A DOVER woman has won the jackpot in Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance’s lottery almost 10 years after her father also won the top prize – with exactly the same lucky numbers.

Administration clerk Elizabeth Cooper, 63, decided to keep playing her late father George’s Superdraw numbers 10, 18, 23 and 31 after he died six years ago.

Never the less, she was pleasantly surprised when the numbers which are a collection of family birthdays, came up in the midweek draw in August and gave her a nice little win of £5,408.

It was only a little over nine years when her father George won the £1,000 jackpot with the same lucky numbers in the air ambulance’s Regular Lottery.

Elizabeth is now planning to splash out on a cruise for her and her mom with the lottery winnings.

“It’s amazing because when you contribute to these things you never expect to win anything.”

“You always expect it to be someone else. They say lightning never strikes twice but anything can happen.”

In a very noble gesture, Miss Cooper has kindly donated back some of her winnings to the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance service and will also be making a donation to the Ted Girdler Memorial Scholarship in memory of the pilot tragically killed at the Eastbourne airshow in 2000.

Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance’s Regular Lottery costs just £1 per week and there are 12 winners drawn each week with prizes ranging from £25 to £1,000.

For an extra £1 a week, players can join the Superdraw which has a maximum jackpot of £25,000 – a life-changing amount. To join the lottery go here and hopefully soon we’ll be writing about you and your lucky numbers.
